I do like most of you wood sculptures. On this one you have maintained the same presentation style for the upper half as you have the lower half. I know the difficulty of wood carving and bluntly stay away from it but admire those who do it. This piece has an interesting bulbous quality about it. According to your notes I interpret that this is not finished. Look forward to seeing it finished. Good craftsmanship demonstrated so far. Reasons for my five star vote.

Since the beginning of recorded time the image of the female has represented fertility and abundance.
For me this piece is reminiscent of the early Mesopotamian and mid Persian style - exaggerated breast and hips. You have captured that essence very well.
I envy the skill and patience of an artist like yourself. You see the world in a very different way than most. You can look at a piece of stone or wood and see in your mind what it could be.
You have a talent for this medium and I hope you will continue down this path ... B-))

I like your way of thinking here and appreciate what you have done - keep it "back to basics" or give it a vintage or old fashioned feel, which it looks pretty much like you have managed spot on as otherwise I wouldn't know the difference!! haha. The human form exaggerated and crafted in this style is brilliant and accentuates and defines the female beautifully - the design throughout is detailed and carefully carved, another great piece here my friend, well done :)
