What a beautiful photo of your sweet baby. I have two cats and completely understand how they rule the roost. His markings are gorgeous and they resemble my male bengal. I love the soft outdoor background, it just make this a more beautiful portrait. Best of luck in the contest, and as I would say, Cats Rule!, dogs drool...(just a strong cat person, I also like dogs too)

Yes, your nice shot does suggest he could be a bit of a character! Your full and central composition grants us an enjoyable look at him. Exposure and sharpness are fine. Well done and good luck!

A very nice shot. I like the colors and the sharp detail in the cat. The flowery setting is great but wish you had removed that curly object on the left. Best of luck in the contest.

Thank you for your review my friend, that curly thing is his leash, I am afraid that he might run off, we keep him in the house. JackJr.

Lovely shot. He does have the air of the boss. A stern expression! The framing, color and the composition have worked well. Thanks for sharing! Good luck!

Jack, this fellow looks like our cat Mia (means meow in Japanese). LOVE THE SHOT.

You have a nice soft vignette and the picture is sharp as a whisker. Can you see that thread behind him? You need to clone that out and that is oh so easy to do because of the background. With that thread removed you have a lovely clean shot of cat and no strings growing out of him.

I'm going to give you a 5 star for all else is perfect...ha.

One can see his independent nature in your portrait. Clearly he is king of all that he sees. I often said that we do not own cats rather they own us. I love the way the light shows off his white stripes.

Jack a brilliant picture of the Boss, your handsome grey tabbt Tom cate wth a white chin appearing to sit still while posing for his picture, in fact his is reading your thoughts & planning his next course of action. Beautiful composition framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.
Dogs look up to you!
Cats look down on you!
And Pigs treat you like an Equal!

A lovely portrait picture here of "The Boss", a title I can well relate to having grown up with 5 cats over my first 18 years and now being an owner of 4 dogs myself, I know exactly what you mean about their quiet dominance and crafty presence in and around the house. I remember talking to a cat lover friend about why the cat doesn't come home for tea sometimes, and he replied "Why would you want to eat at the same restaurant every day when there are loads of other fantastic ones in the neighbourhood?" A hilarious way I thought of saying they do what they want, they're no doubt eating titbits here and there, and catching their own fresh even - self sufficient and non dependant, which dogs certainly aren't! Anyway enough ranting, the clarity of this shot is excellent and you've captured him in a great pose, showing wonderful detail on his fur, pattern and facial features, and the eyes perfectly. The short DOF works nicely and contrasts brilliantly with the green grass and white flowers in the background - he knows he's boss but as you say, he's one of the family so he gets away with it. Great piece and best of luck in the competition! :)
