These flowers are neat. The pleats in the petals almost make them appear to be made of silk. I like that you captured the buds as well as the blooms. The way you handled the background in this shot is very pleasing.

A very well done photo of these flowers. The initial scene with the plant coming from the upper left and flowing diagonally toward the lower right the ordinary. t. Your after photo work, to me, is what really sets this above a standard image. The texture of the petals is what really makes this an eye catching an dramatic scene. Your after photo word is top notch and done with such finesse. Best of the best in the contest ~ Steve

A beautiful blossom from this wonderful and vibrant yellow flowers, bright and bold in their colouring and excellent clarity and DOF to show the details of the many petals and unopened buds in fine detail. Great clear lighting and the piece is accentuated further by the contrasting blurred blue background wonderfully - a beautiful piece, great work :)
