Wow!! Absolutely a painted flower! They titled the bag of bulbs quite appropriately. But i'm sure your love of your garden beds encouraged these to show themselves in all their glory. Especially after they heard you chasing off the little varmints above ground while they were creating their glorious costumes. LOL! I hope Comanche was helping! It sounds like great fun for her!

Your night time camera...with your flashlights...(yes?) ... has created some of the most beautiful flower photos I have ever seen. This is certainly one of them. And congrats on your Goose in the Garden win. Glorious! And most fun to view when I am very familiar with the flower. Thank you for all that you share here on FAR. Always, always a pleasure to view your work!

Oh Becky I have laid down gardening paper...even garden mesh to try to keep the little buggers from absconding w/ my bulbs before it even snows...lol Got lucky this season as every single one bloomed! Oh boy!!! Yes w/ my flashlights here...one great big one and a smaller one on my forehead so I can see where I'm going. Thank you for the congrats too on 'Goose' That was a really nice surprise.

Love you 'creating their costumes' btw. Every fall I that I plant TULIPS....as I crawl around on my hands and knees I imagine what the bed will look like in seven months or so. Let me tell you I did a lot of ooohing and ahhhhing over this batch. What a treat for my gardens and my camera. Thank you so much for the very generous rating for this guy. You know how much I appreciate it.

A beautiful tulip that is masterfully lit. The colors are spectacular and look particularly good against that night time background. I like the composition and the great texture in the petals.

Oh and btw...almost have to photograph these guys after dark.....sunshine is a tad harsh to get this lovely effect.

Oh, Deborah, the master here is more than the flower, it is also you with your amazing ability to create vivid and exquisite nigh time floral close-ups. This one took my breath away. The lighting is beyond perfect and I love how it gently flows from darker to lighter on the bloom from bottom right to upper left. The overall result is exactly as your notes describe - a 3D porcelain bloom emanating every color and feature superbly. A true masterpiece.

Wow this really does look like it is made out of porcelain BB. And what colors! I can see why they named them the way they did. The night shot always works wonders and in this case really showcases the bloom. Great job BB ~ BB

Looks like a dessert of some kind LOL; love the mix of reddish and yellow; the bloom has good form; nice background to bring it out; good focus and clarity; like the highlights and shadows; you got quite a knack for this; take care.

Some of the forecasts over here sound confused,Deb,but most of 'em are blubbering about either six inches to a foot of snow or sleet and rain! YUCK and DOUBLE YUCK! :)

This is a excellent rendition of a tulip. The tulip is my favorite flower. It excites me when it comes up every spring, but it only lasts a week and it's gone. This is a beautiful photograph of a beautiful tulip. The colors are awesome and the detail and the way you have captured this tulip is done with perfection. I love it.

This is a lovely tulip and the evening light is wonderful to show the beautiful color and detail! I agree that the tulip looks like it was painted by an artist. This photo is very well done with excellent light, color, and sharpness.
