Wow. Thank you so very much Vernonette for your review and very kind words. I am glad you liked this one. Actually this was one of the first pictures taken with my new iPhon7. This looks very high definition with the rich color saturation! That is one beautiful sky and the reflection really brings the view of landscape all together.

Thank you Grace. This is one of the first pictures taken with my new iPhone7. All previous to this evening were iPhone5 shots. I think it does a nice job and takes clear photos. Thank you for your review Grace ~ Steve

Your photo is truly worthy of the honors it has already received. A black/gray/gold sunset is unusual in itself, but to be so nicely reflected in a lake is an added bonus. This reminds me of Good Friday. Out of darkness will light come.

Simply stunning!Great sky coloration reflected in the still waters of the river. Rays of the setting sky illuminating the edges of the clouds causing them to glow.This is proof that the simple beauty of nature can bring peace to your soul.Thanks for sharing such a serene image.

Gorgeous sunset so full of colorful spreading sunset rays. Everything sharp revealing the silhouetted reflected trees on the mirror calm lake. Yes it is very much the essence of a beautiful time and place that stirs one's sole. Thank You for sharing.

OK- your photo. Those are some outstanding reflections you've captured. The sunset, of course, has put some marvelous colors in the sky but you've left them quite natural. Very nice. Didn't go wild over-doing them. It's framed beautifully w/ the bit of foliage just peeking in upper right frame. Focus is good and you've handled the fading light just right. Not a hint of where you've removed distractions and your after photo work HAS added drama- again- w/o over doing it.
It's a really nicely presented piece BB. Lovely entrant for this contest. I hope it does well for you.

Aw. Thanks BB. Thanks for your thoughts. You confirmed one thing for me. I tend to oversaturate (that is just an appealing thing for me). Others don't see it that way. So I took my best image look and turned down the saturation. Even though the clouds look a tad bit washed for my taste, it appears that is the way to go from now on. I always look forward to your thoughts and commentary BB. U R The Best ~ BB OH, and since you did not ask where my cloned distractions were, I AINT Sayin'.

Oh I've been 'spoken' to about saturation as well BB but I just LOVE color so I completely understand. ...and wherever the 'distractions' were in this one I didn't find them...lol so good job!!

A brilliant mixture of orange and yellow/gold creates a wonderful clear sunset with the white clouds hovering in the sky with them. The silhouettes of the trees in the distance create good perspective and clear detail of the canopy of the forest. Overall a fantastic shot full of visual stimulus and a great entry for the competition - best of luck my friend! :)
