Quite a nice flower shot posted here! Your full and central composition grants us an enjoyable look at it. The image is well exposed and has reasonable sharpness. Yes, the black background is appropriate. Nicely done!

Hello,
Pretty flower, and you did awesome with the background. It really makes the flower pop.
I found an error in your author's notes:
As we wandered around the weather changed (comma) and conditions became harder to photograph the flowers.

Cool,Mary!
This unusual flower that you've presented us has a somewhat 'shot up' look to it,doesn't it?
But it's interesting and 'out of the ordinary' and it's nice and colorful too!
'Good Show',my friend!

Thanks galiag yes I changed the background to black as it was on yellowed leaves of a ground cover plant which didnt allow you to see the unique tiny flower. Have never done that before usually only crop and occasionally amend contrast ☺

I have no idea what that could be. It is definitely some kind of flower that I have never seen. I do remember years ago having a season pass to Busch Gardens...I loved it as there were many beautiful flowers to take in. You have captured this one very nicely with the lighting and details and framing. Thanks for sharing.

This is a lovely shot of an interesting looking flower. I've no idea what it is! You have framed it well. The colours, light and shadows and the framing have come out well. Thanks for sharing!

Hi Zilyram

Wow. Look at how those colours stand out starkly against the black background. Makes it look very like a painting. Beautiful work! R
