I cannot believe that you use sharpies. I am now trying out all sorts of new things, including sharpies - but mine don't seem to get that clear all over ..I love the way you ape real life with your characters. Who knows if we get to the moon. Those in the know say we will wipe out our civilisations in about ten generations with total war- and become just a few humans roving southern jungles. Most of Europe will become a salt flat from the chemicals.

Now I know this figure is not indicative of any particular gender but for some reason I think of Major Daisy as being a woman and I think that creates a wonderful role model for girls who view this image. I love the sense of weightlessness you created.

i was a manager many a decades and dealt with numerous of employees..in different locations and states. i was that type of manager that i would not only train all employees to be potential managers.no matter if is a CSR, accounts mgrs. or delivery, but would empower them to demonstrate hands on and achieving goals. no matter what color,, sex, religion , sexual preference, or looks..(as long as that person is neat and clean) if you can do the job and excel in your work they would get thumbs up and mentioned for employee to watch for the company. my philosophy is i can ride on the shoulders of those who excels under my staff. i raised 3 lovely daughters and proud of all their accomplishments. .wik..oh well fun times but thats a youngins game. im still hauling tail just moving at a slower speed..wink.find out in our next episode at same flower channel and flower time..wink..lol..just posted another one titled "turn of a friendly card". it will make ya think..wink..lol..thanks for the great review.

Now the flowers have reached new levels - literally outer space! Daisy doesn't look too confident however despite having made it into orbit safely and is space walking (floating!) in the vast nothingness - the moon in the left corner and the stars giving a feel of the real emptiness. She looks scared however but what flower wouldn't be (except maybe one ;))? Great colours. Great accuracy. Great creativity. Great fun. :)

This is an interesting one. I like the composition of the astronaut and the cord going out off the screen to the right. I think the composition flows. The night sky really highlights the subject. The moon is a nice touch.

Simply appealing with minimal colors and compositional elements.

The lightweight feel here is almost palpable.
Cute sad face.
Visually balanced composition.
Thanks for sharing...

Mark,
A great picture of Major Daisy floating out in space on a space "walk" with the moon in the background in the dark night sky sprinkled with stars. Created with very skilful draftsmanship beautiful choice blending & application of your colours in bringing this scene to life from your active imagination.

Mark,
Good one! I love that it looks like a baby in the womb. I see that astronauts have the tube coming from that area.
This piece reminds me of 'Lost in Vase'. Good background. The white of the moon or Earth goes with the white of his suit. The stars add to it. Good lines, shading. but is there shading in space? :P
hey, tc

These designs are so simple while also being expressive. The impression on his face looks like that of a baby. Thank you for sharing and good luck in the contests.
