I like these birds. Your timing was great to catch this pose. I like that you were able to get so close too, that isn't something I have been able to do yet! The definition of the wings and the water drops flying look great.

Hi Envision, I was extremely lucky to get this shot! I was actually sitting on the rocks when this guy swam in and almost sat in my lap. I was able to get quite a few shots in. He didn't seem to mind my presence at all and how often does that happen. I was thrilled by that wonderful opportunity. I'm also thrilled by your wonderful review! Thank you SO MUCH! :o) Helvi

A beautiful picture of this Cormorant standing on the rocks attempting to dry it's wings by flapping them in the air in the hope the breeze will dry them but in this case the spray thrown up by the water hitting the rocks is making it almost impossible. Beautiful composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

Very nice shot with pretty good focus despite flapping of wings. Well exposed, nice color and white balance. You might be able to bump the contest a touch more. I really love your composition with lots of room out front of the bird's head.
