a great close up view of this charming old bi plane, I like that the colours pop against the blue sky and you can see all the detail even the pilot, you have framed this really well good angle
and enough room for the plane to fly into. good contest entry. good luck.

I love these old planes. They have such a classic look and feel to them. Learning to fly in these developed "The Feel" of flying (by the seat of your pants). Great capture here. Good color and details with effective subject placement in the frame. Well done and best of fortune in the contest ~ Steve

As always I appreciate your wonderful reviews. My father used to join me at the airshow to photograph the planes,as well as dispense his vast knowledge of the various aircraft showcased there. It is too hard on him to attend know, and I keenly miss the father-daughter time we shared.I take the photos now more for him then myself now.Best of luck to you in the contest also-my father would love that shot!

I always offer to share any of my photos. I do not sell them as I know it is God that sets the scene and all I do is push the button. So if you want to give the shot to him as a gift please feel free to do so. I think he would like that don't you?

Thanks -I plan to show it to him the next time I visit,I know he would enjoy seeing it !

A quite grand plane shot posted here of machine from several generations ago! Your upward and angled composition provides us with an enjoyable look at your nice plane. Exposure and sharpness are good. Well done and good luck!

Wow, this is a sharp image considering he was airborne, a testament to your shutter speed skills.
Colourful for nothing looks as yellow as when it is placed against blue...nicely done. A bit more room to fly into would not have hurt this image.

A very nicely presented image. I like the sharp detail and the beautiful colors. As a general rule I would like to see more space in front of the flying subject. Best of luck in the contest.

A beautiful picture of this colourful pre-War Bi-plane at an air show the pilot clearly seen in the back cockpit & the blur of the whirling propeller at the front set against the perfect back drop of a blue sky. Beautiful composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus. My father learnt to fly & later taught others in similar planes before & during the second World War, he was a Pilot Instructor in the RAF.

Great sharp focus and well framed. The Stearman is such a beautiful plane. I get both the photography and aviation life as well. Me the photographer would be and my husband the pilot. His whole life has been about planes. I like the nice wing dip showing a good view of the pilot. Well done good luck.
