a beautiful scene here deb,
you can almost feel the cold
the white of the snow is well balanced and looks crisp against the blue sky,
I like the feathery branches on the snow laden trees, a crisp clear
photograph that does indeed look tranquil and beautiful. stay warm.
Happy new year.

Beautiful photograph. I believe you said it all in your text. I also enjoy that the foreground is rather smooth and bland while that sky is busy, busy. Reasons for my five star vote.

This is a fine piece of Nature Photography. This clearly shows how we can find beauty even in small mundane things which we otherwise ignore. The entire composition, colours, light make this first rate. Well Done!

I like this scene. Very pretty and peaceful winter scene. Nice sky and clouds framing the land and sky the little saplings in the foreground are a nice touch though they may be grasses. Thank you for sharing and good luck with this image

Yes....they are grasses Pam...field grasses all over the orchard. Do appreciate you having a look at this one and thanks so much for the fine review you've given it.

That nice blue sky caught my eye right away. Nice contrast w/ the green trees. Of course, I love the white snow, giving things a soft look. In a way, I am expecting an animal to trot across the screen. Nice seen and awesome shot. Take care and keep warm. I'm trying w/ this 35 degree stuff. I know you got it much worse.

Deer trot through here all the time Swimmer. Lots of other animal tracks too...I just don't know them all as well. I know 35* must be crazy for you down there in Florida so stay warm and thank you so much for the generous review and rating for my first 2018 post!!!

Yes, the 30s are a bit much here but we can still at least move around and get out of the house. One year, my parents went to Alaska and I stayed behind. One night here it was 19. That's the coldest I can remember for Fl.

Hello Deb and Happy New Year! You are a brave soul to venture out in that kind of cold, but you did end up with and awesome shot! The colors are very nice! The focus is great! I don't know how you managed without camera shake! I would have been shivering! Great job my friend! Lori

Got all of three images Lori before the camera said "are you for real! too damn cold for me" and simply stopped working. But one of them was this image so I brought the cranky camera inside to warm up and it's good to go now if it ever warms up out there. Thank you so much for giving this piece such a fine review and a very Happy New Year to you as well.

Deborah what a gorgeous post of your grounds. Peaceful and
Tranquil perfectly describes this snow covered winter wonderland. I see the dancing girls and they are still beautiful with snow. What a lovely narrative accompanying this piece. I hope you dressed warmly...but I understand...worthy of a little bit of cold for a fantastic capture. It is single digits here.
Just a real pleasure to view.

Got just three images Marsha before the camera said "...you have GOT to be kidding me" and simply stopped working....lol but one of them was this piece which I love so I am quite happy. My camera btw has now warmed up and is ready for action again if it EVER warms up outside. Thank you for the wonderful review.....from me AND my camera.

Sange knows some really excellent quotes Bien. I agree- I like this one a lot! You know, I've found on really cold, crisp days that even plain old trees have something special about the way they look....as in this piece. So thank you so much for having a look at my very first 2018 post AND giving it a shiny gold star! Excellent way to start the FAR season.

Happy New Year BB. What a great scene. I always remember how quiet it is during these times as the snow muffles almost all sounds. Great detail in the trees and I like those 'Dancing Girls'. Way cool. Minus 15 huh? It is 85 degrees here, sunny, gentle breeze coming off the bay. Whales are starting to enter the bay now. I hate it here. Can I come and enjoy the cold there? No? Well it was just a thought. I guess I will just stay here then. Hope all is well BB ~ BB
