This is indeed a special photo Willie, and probably the first I have seen with both a gator and a white egret together. I especially like the fine reflections you have captured in the shiny water, and also the background is truly lovely.

The photo is pin sharp showing such clear and well defined details all over, and the exposure is spot on.

The cropping works so well, and both the bird and the gator are well placed within the frame. This is a truly lovely and well taken photo Willie and I wish you luck with the contest.

Hi, Willie. Nice to meet you. Happy New Year! White Herons are so pretty. They must preen all of the time to stay so white and clean. When I enlarged, I saw great detail on the alligator. Good title. Good job. Thank you for sharing and best of luck with this image

Thank you so very much! This is a Great Egret. The only difference is the color of their legs. I was not to smart about the gators as I got about three feet from one to get his portrait. He growled at me and I got away with it.
