I only found these Beauties at the Equestrian events and I can never capture one as they do not sit still for a second.
Nice Capture Susan showing nice details and colors on this guy.

Sandra,
Thanks a million for your complementary review on this colourful Pest!
Seconds after I took this picture it flew down onto the lawn to join another 39 Starlings gobbling up the Sunflower seed I'd scattered there. One day I lost count of them but I think it was sixty plus, seldom do I see less than four.

Nice job showing off the lovely spots and the markings of the wings. I think these guys are so pretty. I have not seen one up close before. I did see a group (murmuration) of them once in Iowa but they were flying too high to get an up close view like this one.

A beautiful bird that is shown in very fine detail. I like the sharp eye and the speckled plumage. I don't so much mind the wooden structure but wish it did not obscure the tip of his beak.

You could not have captured this Starling much better Susan, and especially because of the sharp and well defined details seen in the feathers. I also like a lot the way it is posing for you, and how well it is standing out from the background.
The exposure is very good and I like how well you have captured the shadows from the branches in the foreground wooden beam. The light is also falling on the bird in such a lovely way.
I think the framing is very good with the branches on the left and the placement of the bird within the frame. Another truly lovely and well taken photo, and with an excellent DOF.

He/She is beautiful. You captured the detail of the feather design exquisitely. The composition is perfect. The green concrete, the shadows, the plant on the left, the blurred blue sky. Perfect! Well done. Thanks for sharing.

Susan, you have grabbed another wonderful to look at bird shot. He is looking down as if to be bowing at you for taking his photo. He is very appreciative. The shadows below him are interesting to look at and give the photo an element of abstraction. Love the lighting, framing, colors and all the splendid details throughout. This is a pleasure to view. I think it needs a 6 star or better.

Excellent choice of avian subject.
Sad & lonely countenance.
Faint shadows matched the mood of the moment.
Dynamic diagonal framing.
Nice inclusion of the pale blue sky accentuating this image nicely.
Nice perspective & narrow DOF.
Thanks for sharing...

Well if I was a male starling I would definitely be interested having heard the cries of your female! Your nice composition gives us a good look at your bird. Sharpness and exposure are good. Well done!
