Hibiscus stigma and stamen

I think the little yellow parts are called the stamen. So, stigma and stamen. What s beautiful flower hibiscus is. I see so many of them posted here. The stigma are a little blurred upon enlargement, but, I think it is just because the subject is so tiny. Nice composition and framing. Thank you for sharing and best of luck with this image

Wow what a great macro capture of this hibiscus stigma. Very impressive way you created the dark background. The lighting is perfect to make this stand out with a vibrant red color.
Excellent detail and the square frame is perfect for this photo.
Wonderful work Grace!

Wow Grace. What a Beauty. I almost hesitate to review now as I do not have a six, seven or eight to award this excellent shot. So please accept my Best Cyber 8 as a poor substitute. This is one of those that I will make a favorite. The diagonal composition with sharp focus and superb lighting and camera techniques makes this one a show stopper. You are getting better and better as time goes Grace. Well done ~ Steve

Judging by your fine notes it seems like you planned this shot carefully in advance? Do not get me wrong, I do not mean this as a criticism. Well done overall!

Thanks Nik! Yes, I have been working on trying to get a crisp shot of the stigma of this plant without too much light obscuring the fuzzy ends. It has taken many attempts to get something I was satisfied with. The bloom only lasts a day before it starts to wither away into a shriveled mess! I patiently wait for a flower to bloom and try to get the shot that I have been envisioning (lol) in my mind. This one was one that I was finally happy with the way it turned out :)

cleverly structured and as a result eye catching image with the colourful subject enhanced by the dark backdrop . Its sharp and just appears from the side almost in a surprise fashion like a character appearing in front of an audience in a theatre or marionette in a puppet side show...great work

Grace,
A beautiful profile picture of the pistil & pollen laden stamens of this red Hibiscus flower glowing in the light shining down on it & out from it's dark background. Beautiful composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.
