such a beautiful quiet place, but your notes make me shivering, twice; once for the water temperature: I need at least 25 °C!
the second reason are the tens of thousand of people who spoil the beauty of this area;

LOL...I may have exaggerated ever so slightly Fred but I DO know that I stay away from the village and the lake for the couple of months the 'summer people' are here. I much prefer the solitude and beauty of my own little spot. You are a doll for going and having a look at this one. Thank you so much.

Great scene! Love the blueness of the water; good depth; nice mountain range; good colors w/ the green trees, snow white and blue water; good lighting; just enough Sun; you know how to take 'em. Take care.

Hello there Swimmer! The water here in this image would be soooo much colder than anything you may be used to down in Florida...lol Even on the hottest days of the summer it is ice cold! You are very kind for going back and having a look at this one and I so appreciate the gold star you shared with. You are a peach! Thanks so much!

It's a nice peaceful scene. We have a few more days of decent weather then back to the frigid cold. I think it's going to be 25 one night. Brrrr.

you have heat at your place, right??
reply by swimmer74 on 15-Jan-2018
Oh yes, but I haven't needed it too much. The last couple weeks have been OK but still cold.
reply by the author on 15-Jan-2018
Oh good. Wasn't sure if everyone in Florida had heat or not.
reply by swimmer74 on 15-Jan-2018
There may be places that don't have heat, like older towns. I sleep with my street clothes on and I cover up tightly. The nights don't bother me, just going out to the car in the mornings. Ice is usually everywhere. I have to let the car run a few min so it can warm up.

Oh! I haven't seen Caspian in sooo long.

SURPRISE!!! I'm still around.

Well we are all settled in our new digs. I have been cutting fire wood most days at my son Chris' job site. When he finds a standing dead with no critters living inside he cuts it for me and skids it to the landing. Were I cut it up and truck it home.

Not having any wood for winter it's been a constant chore. Love it!

I hope the holidays were more than you hoped for.

OK, great landscape shot. Technically excellent - as usual.

Now you gotta know I gonna say "Next time use a CPL to really bring out the contrast of a mostly 4500 K."

I hope all is well with you and Comanche.

I hope to post a couple shots soon.

Well done ... OMP

Oh Dear OMP you have no idea how pleased I was to find YOU at the end of this review. I had been wondering where you were. Happy to hear you are settled in your new place....and that you have firewood...especially that you and your son make sure no-one is living in dead trees he cuts down for you. You are both guys w/ very good hearts. Thank you so much for checking out my Caspian Lake piece....and for the outstanding review you gave it. Oh and one of these days I am going to surprise you by being able to purchase CPL and actually use it for images like this one...lol Will be keeping my eyes open for a post from you!

A pleasure to hear from you again, way up there in the NEK.

I have a little land with this place and from what I can tell there is white tail, fox, some type of larger than a hose cat - cat, and of course grey squirrels.

I also have marked several trees both alive and dead for harvesting in March when I can't get into the woods.

I hope to post some pieces this week. But I have to do a few more reviews to fund the project.

The Caspian Lake piece is very well done. I really like well executed landscapes ... OMP

A truly lovely scene, Deb. I like how it shows the beginnings of spring without a frozen lake and no snow on the trees. Beautiful lighting and composed with perfect spatial balance. Well done! Ed.

You would love it here Dale. I was telling MM about the huge Moose that trotted through the shallows here one summer day a few years ago. OMG...what a scene it caused....and I did NOT have my camera! You're a doll for giving this piece such a great review. Thank you so much.

A very nice scene which is shown in excellent color. I like the placement of the picnic table and the long shadows cast by the low angle of the sun.
