Excellent image of grazing deer with some who have spotted you. Enjoy the detail of buck and does in monochromic scene. Thank You for sharing.

Love to hear your enthusiasm re: photographing wildlife Jack...and deer aren't always the most cooperative subjects so kudos to you for catching four of them here....and that's a great title you gave your piece btw.

Unfortunately, it seems you may have had some technical issues w/ this one. The image isn't nearly as crisp as it should be....and lots of noise as well. Perhaps shutter speed was too low?

You did a fine job capturing their attention just need to work on the technical aspects a bit next time.

Great shot! Love the vignette on the photo, but I'm not sure this is a good entry to the black and white photo contest simply because I feel like it'd be better as a color photo. The vast majority of the photo is a dark gray hue with very few highlights or specific areas of focus. I'd be interested to see the colors of the flowers the deer are grazing among, or the contrast in texture between the grass and deer. Still a great shot though given the fickle nature of wildlife nowadays.

It is indeed a magical Moment to find deer in the wild. My first tim seeing them on highway 95...was pure joy.
Jack you have a nice snap of 3 of the deer looking up at you while one continues to graze.
Your photo is blurry, dark and noise is visible. Some is from in camera and the rest is caused by trying to sharpen in.
Best advice, raise your shutter speed when Photographing wildlife...if this was shot in auto..your camera struggled with what to focus on. I always use center meter with wildlife and lock on to the eye for sharp focus.
It's a nice Moment to witness and Capture, but I am afraid some work is needed on camera settings.

Wonderful subject matter, perfect timing to capture 4 in the frame. The B& W works well here, your composition is great, however, the image is blurry , perhaps you were at the limit of your cameras zoom? The image is a tad too dark, great effort!

Very nice capture. You have the attention of 3 out of 4. They are posing at attention for you. Of course there is always one young one that doesn't want to cooperate but of course that makes for a better photo. Well done. Clear and love the black and white.

It is interesting to see the fawns looking at the camera. But unfortunately the image is a bit blurry! Black and white finish works well. Good effort!

nice capture of the fawns, but the photo is too dark and they are getting lost on the background

also, the focus is too soft

thanks for sharing

A unique and beautiful capture of these four deer. I like the black and white in this and would've loved to have seen it in color. Three of the deer look like they are posing
just for you! Great shot of all of them together. Best of luck in the contest.
