This garden shot is very well focused on the opening aster. It is interesting that Nature has chosen swearing colors: purple and red. Tjh author's notes are informative and welcome for the non-gardening novice.

Visual impact is very impressive with the bold beautiful color contrast of the flower and the buds combined with the vivid green backdrop. Sharp focus and great clarity. Love your presentation in explaining what kind of flower it is. Your work is just beautiful!

Nice one BB. That large flower reminds me of the Addams Family where they had this plant that Morticia used to feed chunks of meat. Man am I Warped or what? Too much vacation I think. I like the look of the image as your artistic after photo work really did the trick. Great work as always BB. Hope all is well ~ BB

LOL...chunks of meat eh BB....Me thinks you are REALLY enjoying your vacation. But listen- after photo work was nothing but a slight crop and a little sharpen. This is exactly how these guys look in my gardens. Besides, I am not talented in that 'after photo work' so I just stick w/ them 'a la natural' and leave the fancy stuff to those more adept at it than me. You're a peach for checking this one out. Thank you so much. Time now for a cocktail, yes? Order me one please!

Your colors and details adding so much beauty to this photography. Your wide aperture blurring distractions and creating an artistic background that compliments your overall photography. Deborah,
A beautiful picture of these New England Asters one floret almost open surrounded by ten tightly closed buds yet to open all beautifully framed by their foliage & other green plants in the background. The sunlight hi lighting the opening petals of the Aster on the left. Beautiful composition framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.
