Wow ! These poor flowers getting attacked by winter! You have captured it well, showing contrasts of textures and colors as well as a contrast of seasons, well focused, well exposed, thanks for sharing!

A lovely entry for the winter contest. You captured the snow covered daffodils perfectly. I am surprised they are up so high already, but they will survive. I have had this happen before and found them to be very resilient.
Excellent detail in the snow, a unique entry for the contest.
Best wishes for the competition and for your daffodils.

Quite a strong winter scene posted here that ought to be a good entry into your competition. Your fine composition captures both the beautiful side of nature and it's more brutal side too. Exposure and sharpness are good. Well done and good luck!

LOL - Indeed as Tina Turner would say. I really like this photo Mike, and I am afraid I have to admit that also the Daffodils in my garden have looked like this a few rimes. They are still so beautiful with their yellow heads peeping out of the snow.

I especially like how well you have captured the snow and ice on the flowers, and how well they are standing out from the dark background. Your photo is also pin sharp showing such clear and well defined details, and both the exposure and the white balance is spot on.

The format you have cropped the photo into works so well and the three main flowers have got a perfect placement within the frame. I think this is a beautiful and well taken photo with an excellent DOF, and I wish you luck with the contest.
