This is beauty and power all rolled up in one. I love the colors and the highlights of the foam. I envy you living by the ocean. The tones are good and I like the texture as well. Did you paint on site or take a photo then paint at home?

Love this wave. A blue study! Love the textures. The wave tops are so cool in whites. The swirling, churning and splashing are seen in this piece. Just gorgeous! Love the light and dark used. Positioned well. Thanks for sharing.

You do such a good job portraying the movement of water! I think that is one of your best talents. All of your paintings of water are gorgeous including this one :) I like how you apply the darker colors to emphasize the depth and motion and how well it compliments the lighter areas. The texture in the whitecaps is very nice.

I really like the feel of motion in this painting, and of course also all the lovely hues of blue. I like the close and personal approach and the very fine textures you have brought out.
You have used high lights in a very good way, and this has brought life into this scene. I also think the brush work is very good. Bold and smooth at the same time.
Like you also I like to observe the sea, and most of all when it is waves. I like how you have filled the frame with one big wave showing more smooth waters behind. I think this is a beautiful and well done painting, and I wish you luck with the contest.

So nice to see your work again Suzanne. You know I love the Ocean and the color blue..so this caught my eye right away.
Love the movement of the crashing wave and the highlights and hues of blues and white used to create it.

I've had my daughter and family from Australia staying with me for two months so unfortunately haven't been able to do any painting as everything has been so hectic! However, I'm hoping to get back into it now as they returned home at the weekend! Suzanne

I find that waves are a difficult thing to get right.
You make them look so easy.
Looking at this I can just hear them crashing and smell the air.
I love the different tone of blue and the shades of white.
