Love your title! Such a beauty! Framing and lighting are beautifully done. Love that you just got the simple tree yet elegant standing along. And wow 6-14 inches is a lot of snow!! Thanks for sharing!

what a beautiful winter scene, the jack pine has a lovely shape and the snow enhances its beauty, I like the vertical tight frame which just centres on the tree, did you convert this to black and white or did it just come out like this in the snow storm?. would make a nice Christmas card. nice work grace.

Thank you! It isn't b/w. I used a pretty high shutter speed and it was snowing :)

You weren't kidding about the fourteen inches of snow.
Your Jack Pine is a handsome figure in his fresh coat of snow .
POV is perfect as your focus and clarity .
You also have a great sense of depth with your background .
It's a very cool piece and thank you for sharing .

This is truly a lovely photograph. I like the simplicity of it and the fact that it is shot in black and white. The focus of the tree is sharp and well defined while the landscape in the distance is faded. It gives it very nice depth. Nice work.

A nice one here Grace. It reminds me of the many Winters growing up in Idaho. What I ;like most is that the seen is there and I am here in Buseria, Mexico where it is 85* with a gentle breeze coming off the ocean. (Oh that was so mean). Sorry. I really do like this scene of the lone pine. Great work Grace ~ Steve

Sounds like wild exciting winter times out in your neck of the woods. Here in our part of the UK three days of wind and constant rain. Today bright blue skies but very cold and windy! Your fine winter image is well composed and sharp. I do feel though that it is somewhat under-exposed. Otherwise, good try!

I love snow flocked trees, this is a well composed image, with the eye being drawn to the evergreen all dressed up for winter, nice detail , good tonal contrasts, well exposed, I love the misty background. Well presented!
