A great portrait photograph of this chief priest you have captured, looking serious and focused on the ceremony in hand. Good lighting/use of editing shows him in a brighter light which works well with this well chosen piece to use as B&W for the competition. The close up shot with short DOF and great clarity shows brilliant detail on the priest, and also highlights his white hair and beard prominently, but most importantly really draws attention to the thread on the shoulder and mainly the caste on the forehead, which almost shimmers in the light. The cloning and tidying up of clutter in the background is slightly untidy however which is visible, particularly the "horn" coming from his head which conflicts a little with the context of the piece! Rectifiable I'm sure. This is why I have dropped the 1/2 mark. Tight cropping and accentuated by the dark background with just a pillar in view giving good perspective. A good piece, best of luck in the competition! :)

It is always my pleasure to interact with you. I am very glad that you liked it. Thanks very much for your taking time to study the image and give your positive critique. It is appreciated. I have removed the 'horn'.!! I don't know how to improve the background now. I will work on it later!:)
