I think the depth and colors of this are lovely. The flower stands out so well from the background in spite of the similar colors. The edges of the petals are well defined and sharp. I also like how that upper leaf appears to be touching the flower petal.

A stunning picture of this rose pink Dogwood flower head the pink bracts surrounding the smaller flower in it's centre with the green leaves on it's stem in the background many more flower heads.
Beautiful composition, framing &lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

a very eye catching scene,
I like the positioning of the single flower in the scene which stands out so well against the blurred other dogwood flowers, ( stand out in a crowd the ) the soft
slight blur on the central
flower gives a dreamy feel, great contest entry

nice capture of the flower, but the background need to be less bright in order to see the flower better, like this it is almost lost on the background

Thank you very much for taking the time to look at my photo and write a review! I understand what you're saying but my intention in this photo was to show a flower among all the other flowers on the tree so I was thinking in terms of it somewhat blending in.

We have dogwood around here. But, their flowers are only bright white. So, it is nice to learn that dogwood comes in more than white! This is what I like about this site. Get to learn a lot. Beautiful vision in pink. This is a good entry for this contest. It would also have been a good entry for The Color Pink contest. Nice composition and framing. Sharp focus.
