Love the realism on the eyes and the fine details on his fur snd whiskers. The coloring on him is fabulous right down to his rusty brown eye brows.
My dog is all black with rusty eye brows.;)
Incredible work..good luck ;)

You have offered up such wonderful detail in those pencil stokes. This fellow captures me - actually it is the "look" of his eyes! Great natural color, highlight and shadow... I am amazed - wish I could draw! Thanks so much for sharing! Good Luck!

Boy do I wish I had a six...but this really deserves a 10. Your technique with your pencils, and pens and white out is unmatched as far as I can remember. The realism of those eyes looking at me is amazing. The nose appears to be a little wet..just like a big dog. And the whiskers are perfect in size and opacity. Beautiful work. I hope you gift this to your cousin... She should use it for her website if she has one. You are very talented. It is a pleasure to share this site with you.

Hi and thanks for sharing this lovely painting . He looks like a St. Bernard dog. You have really captured his expression amazingly. Those eyes just tell a story and the tan/red colouring brings out his face well. He looks like a friendly older dog with a loving heart... thanks for sharing this beautiful artwork. cheers mel

A beautiful picture of this Bernese Mountain dog it's head tilted on one side & a dreamy look in it's eyes watching you. Created with very skilful draftsmanship beautiful choice blending & application of your colours in bringing this dog to life.

An excellent portrait of this big, old looking hound, using great accurate colours with great precision and blending/shading to create a very lifelike effect of the patterns of it's fur, and the textures are clearly seen. The facial features are brilliant and superbly intricate, down to the wonky whiskers and red eyebrows and eyes. The tufts of fur here and there top the piece off as it gives it a realistic feel. The white backdrop accentuates this fine portrait further - a fine work of art and best of luck in the polls! :)

This is a great portrait of this dog! I like the way the dog is looking right at me and the expression on the face. The eyes are wonderful. You've done a great job on the fur too.
