It's so interesting to view this, I don't think we have blackbirds here, I didn't realize there was a difference in the colors on blackbirds! This is well created, each capture is well focused, nice detail, natural colors, well exposed, well composed to give us a view of the blackbirds male and female! Thank you for sharing this!

    Pat,
Thanks a million for your complementary review on these male & female Blackbirds ~Turdus Merula...The Pilgrim Fathers did not bring them with over with the House Sparrow & Starlings.
They are related to your American Robin ~ Turdus Migratorius...They move along the ground in the same way & are the same size.

You are very welcome! Thank you for the information! These might be here in some parts of Alaska, just not in Anchorage that I?m aware of !

A very nice blackbird collage presented here! Each individual photo has good composition, is well exposed and sharp. All show interesting poses that should clear up any confusion between male and female blackbirds. Very well done!

Impressive capture in interesting collage presentation.
Verdant overtone!
Varied fantabulous poses in descending arrangement within a vertical format.
Cool color matting...

Hi Susan thank you for sharing this lovely collage of the blackbird male and female species..Excellent close ups to show the male colourings and the female with her deformed leg.. I like he effect of the collage , with the green background. It contrasts nicely with the birds and their individual tonings. The photos are of good clarity and well focused to show detail.. well done Susan and thanks for notes about the birds. cheers mel

Very, very, cool. I can never get close enough to birds, so i always appreciate when someone can, and you provide the male and female. Great share, thank you, and I'll be on the lookout for owls.

The photos of the birds themselves are actually very nice. I think the presentation of said photos could be a little more sophisticated.

Also, the word "male" or "female" could maybe be just the symbols.
