you're Lucky to live in an area where you can see wild animals in the wild not a zoo; in and around a city, we see birds, cats and dogs, leaving their shit on the walkway; lol;
a beautiful winter scene with the two animal species;
I just wonder why the snow in the fg has a slight yellow cast while in the bg the white balance is excellent; maybe the tree above the animals had some autumn leaves left?

    I think I may have said that exact thing to someone just today Fred....that I am so very happy to be able to see MY wild animals IN the wild....and I am also fortunate to not have to deal w/ other people's pet's shit...lol As for the snow (good eye btw)- there are some VERY large softwoods to both left and right of deer.....they shaded the area just in front of them. Thank you so much for having a look at my new piece....and making good points....you're a deer...lol

    Thank you so much John. I am really pleased I can see my wildlife in the wild and not have to go to a zoo. Zoos are always kinda sad. Anyway, do appreciate you having a look at my new piece. My wood rack is full. hallelujah!!

    Hey , are there still apples on the trees ?
reply by the author on 06-Feb-2018
    May be a few frozen near the tops. I've pretty much gotten all I can get knocked down for them.
reply by TBI John on 06-Feb-2018
    Don't know what you think about baiting or a salt lick for future Photos . I know the deer wouldn't care .
reply by the author on 06-Feb-2018
    Oh they come around all winter...even when the Apples are gone. There's so much for them to eat around here I never run out of photo ops w/ the deer.

I haven't seen a live deer in person yet.

Nice odd numbered subject.
It would be amazing to see them in the yard--especially a white tailed one!

Shaded but still cute.
Well timed still motion shot.
Shot with just enough space in between to show each individual's body outline.

Thanks!

    There were six there Dick but Comanche snarling and lunging at the window frightened a few out of camera range. They are just magical to see in person right outside my windows. Do appreciate the very fine review you've given them. Thank you so much.

A very nice nature shot presented here! Your nice central composition of the deer offers us a very enjoyable look at them. Exposure and sharpness are good. Think I would consider removing that object in the bottom left hand corner. Otherwise, nice photo!

    It's the well head Nik ..... I'm so used to seeing it there that I didn't crop it out.....until I read your review. On second look decided I agree w/ you. Thank you for checking it out and offering the suggestion. I do really appreciate it.

I think you should tie a string to the bows of the tree and shower them with show and get THAT picture...hehe. Sounds like fun.

Anyway, this is nice. Very peaceful. Good focus. Nice exposure. Well done, my dear friend.

'Good Show',Deb!
As I've mentioned,we haven't seen any of these creatures roaming the woods around here this Winter so I'm happy to see this foraging trio's picture!
( it's been whispered that the local herds can sense the presence of a 'Wee Dee Gaa' that's rumored to have come down with the frigid weather from upper Quebec and is haunting the frozen swamps and forests this season and they're keeping a 'low profile' in an attempt to avoid it! Who can say for sure? : ) )

    I love it Sean! I can think of no-one I'd rather be sitting around a campfire with than YOU!! Seriously. So while it might be the 'Wee Dee Gaa' it could also have been Comanche snarling at the window that chased the other three away......but who can say for sure??? You are a peach for having a look and writing up such a wonderful review. Thank you so very much!

What a beautiful winter scene, these three beautiful deer cautiously moving across , it's hard for these large animals in the winter, the food is scarce and they have to travel through the snow. Well presented, interesting to view.

    They are surprisingly comfortable around my place Pat. Comanche absolutely lunging and snarling at the windows though frightened the other three away too quick for me to capture the entire bunch. Do appreciate you checking them out and thanks so much for the very fine review.

Love the title. I totally get it. Always a pleasure to see another piece of your wonderland and this time once again with these woodland creatures. A pretty scene, well shot and composed as usual, my friend. Have a great day! Ed.
