Everything about this fawn is lovely, except it's out of focus! A perfectly focused picture of him would have earned six stars from me. The lighting and cropping is very good.

Excellent choice of subject in its wild natural habitat.
Aptly captured for the contest theme...

Always provide more space in front than at the back.

Good perspective & long depth of field...
Thanks for sharing...

ah.. what a superb little soul ... got to love his innocence .. Such a lovely photo with excellent exposure and lighting. His markings are so clear and those long legs do him proud as he stares into the distance.. He contrasts beautifully against the greenery and the leafy ground beneath him. His ears standing straight show he is aware and focused on his day. thanks for sharing and the very best of luck in the contest. cheers mel

A pretty good entry into the competition posted here! Your almost central composition affords us an enjoyable look at your beautiful fawn. Exposure and sharpness are good. Well done and good luck!

I love these little guys..I see them in the spring also. I love on a 115 acre farm so I see them two times a day..Last year we had triplets..Good capture here.. Nice clarity and positioning..It has a little blur but not bad.I know what it's like trying to get a photo of these little guys..Great job..Thank you for sharing your photo..

These guys are beautiful. I would like to be able to see as many as you do :) Your exposure looks good. The face is a little soft but the body is sharper and the markings stand out nicely. The light in the eye looks good too.

nice capture of the der, but the fact that the focus is very soft and the fact that you have cut off his legs takes from the initial impact
and rate

thanks for sharing

A fine looking fawn still wearing his spots. I like the profile pose and the great setting, but wish you had included his hooves. Best wishes in the contest.

Such a precious baby! Bambi is what comes to mind when viewing this! Well composed, natural colors and tones, natural surroundings, well placed in frame leaving room for this fawn to move in to. Focus is a tad soft, but I'm thinking it's from the upload as this commonly happens! Good luck in contest, this was a pleasure to view!
