This is the kind of shot that transports the viewer to the scene. So beautiful. The composition is perfection with the water in the foreground leading the viewer into the shot. Perfect DOF for a lovely landscape shot. Thanks for sharing

This place is beautiful. Makes me want to visit it someday.
The water is beautiful, the land is beautiful.
Would one be able to find a beaver dam here? I have always wanted to see one and sit around and photograph for awhile.
Beautiful presentation. Thanks for sharing your beauty with us.

Thank you for your nice comments! I think there are beaver dams in this area :) I also see them near bridges around creeks.

This is a beautiful shot of a lovely looking river and bay. I like the high angle looking down onto the landscape. Were you on a bridge? The color of the water is magnificent. The composition is very artsy and well framed. Nice job.

Thank you Karen. Yes I climbed to the top of the hill to get to the bridge, after which I walked out to the shoreline and hunted for rocks :)

Grace,
A stunning picture of the Beaver river with it's tree lined banks that along with the clear blue sky are reflected on it's mirror still water. Beautiful composition framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

Comment from Life is but a dream.
Certainly you show us the beauty of the world around us in large landscape format.
I was going to mention clipping on this image but after tilting my screen I see you do not have any...GOOD.
Following the horizontal cut rule of photography this image pulls us into it through lines and saturation which is rich and natural. It does seem a tad dark and I wonder if putting up exposure might bring more sparkle to it?
I like your signature too, small and humble, you let your art do the talking for you!

This is a part of the country I never visited. Your post of this beautiful place makes me want to pack and leave tomorrow.
Composing a water and land scene where each element is in concert with the other is challenging. From what I see here you have succeeded very well.
What I look for is complimentary balance between all the elements of the scene. That is what I see here. Because this is intended to show the beauty of the whole no one aspect of the scene can over play another.
The quality of the colors appear natural and bold with a very wide range of hues.
The reflective properties of the river water give the scene a quiet and tranquil mood.
Framing of this composition is eye catching and interesting to look at.
Some might say there is little impact in this scene. I disagree. The impact here is subtle and creeps up on the viewer like flashes from an old dream.
The DOF is extra deep and sharp all the way out to the horizon.
This is landscape photography of a very high caliber, well done ... B-)) Bob
