Really nice capture of this little fellow - fabulous detail. Your capture makes me think of some sassiness right away but you said they are shy at first. Can they get sassy? LOL Great color and lighting... Perfect snap... Thanks for sharing!

Thank you! I have been told that they are pretty gentle and like human attention. Not sure this guy has a sassy bone in his body!

Thank you Brian! I waited for him to flick his tongue to take the shot. There was no way I was leaving without getting that blue tongue :)

So the big question is: How long did it take you to get him with his tongue out! Put some bacon out? ;) COL!
I see he likes the comic page as he slinks along!
Wicked cool lizard I never heard of but I looked them up now. They claim they like to look at their owners.. sit on their chest and chill with them.
hmm dog... Lizard?
DOG!
EXCELLENT eye Clarity, sharp focus, fine Exposure and great Details and notes to go along with this cool dude.
Nice work GG :)

Well... I like his blue tongue and short fat stubby fingers....which...ehemm. cough...reminds me of a friend I have who lives out in Minnesota.

Interesting story - never heard of them before either. You sure you didn't paint his tongue blue? ;-).
Nice initial impact. Good composition framing focus and dof. Like the head shot. BTW- how long is our slippery friend? Thanks for sharing. Chuck

Never even heard of a skink before, but maybe this is because I am a Brit! Your full and central composition allows us an enjoyable look at it? Sharpness and exposure are good. Nicely taken!

A most interesting animal that is shown in exquisite detail. I like the colors and the blue tongue sticking out but wish he was not standing on the newspapers.

Thanks Mike! I didn't like the newspaper much either, but I didn't want to ask them to move it for as long as it took for him to stick out that tongue - at least it has colorful graphics :)

How interesting. I, also, never knew skinks existed. So, thank you for giving me the opportunity to see one. He does look like a lizard. I guess he is one? Very dark blue on the tongue. Nice compositiin rather like a portrait. Well framed. Crisp and sharp image. Thank you for sharing and best of luck with this image

Hi Envision thanks for sharing this awesome little blue tongue.. Fabulous photo with excellent exposure and lighting. such a clear shot .. brings up his beautiful marking on his coat. With his blue tongue protruding nicely , he looks like he is smiling .. A friendly soul he seems to be.. ( though they are really quite shy ) His tiny legs serve good purpose to help them move away from preditors. especially cats in suburbia.. The background's dark tonings provide an excellent contrast , making his paler toned head really pop.. The flooring he sits upon with splashes of blue , add a nice touch of colour to your photo. Love these little guys. they are good value in the garden. thanks for sharing this delightful photo presenting your blue tongue to the world. a pleasure to review. cheers mel
