I love the wonderful bird with its armor plate. I do not think the squirrels will win because the mice were trained by William Tell. The colors and details are terrific.

Great colors and a strong narrative feel.
So, I take it the tree squirrels are shooting the arrows as well as the mice?
Sounds like the beginnings of quite a battle!

Very vivid colours & great story to go with it! lol I think the bird is a tad leary of the aim of his warrior. I would break up the blue background with something, not that I know anything about drawing, just my humble opinion; otherwise great job.

My money is on the field mice and birds by 3:1.

Trade mark bold, bright and exceedingly vivid colors.

Fine detail in the drawing, note the feet in the stirrups - excellent eye.

Great initial visual impact.

Well proportioned subjects of interest with very good placement in the frame.

A great entry for the contest Mark. Definitely full of action and color. Sounds like you have a lot of ideas for future stories. Just make sure you Never start the stories of GI Numbnuts and all the bonehead things he (we) used to do. They would call it fiction anyway ; )
