This is Awesome! Oh me, I can't imagine how cold it must have been! Love the ice over the rocks. It's so dramatic and visually pleasing. I really like the black and white! And the light reflection off the ice is beautiful. Very nice!

I have skipped over this image several times trying to figure out my comments. I think you have captured this well. I have done several similar shots. My concern is always the confusion within the image between the frozen ice and the rushing water behind. Visually the two concepts seem to not work together, perhaps that is what you are trying to say. There is nice contrast and clarity in the shot of the various element and I think overall it is an interesting shot.

Thank you! It was my goal to try to make the opposing concepts work together. I could have shot the water and ice to look much the same, but I thought it might be more interesting to have some silkiness to the water in contrast to the sharp edges of the ice. It was a little trickier and more challenging that way too :) Thank you again for taking the time to view it and for your nice comments.

Well executed shot, this is clear and in focus, nice detail, nice stop of the water motion, crystal clear ice formations, it's a good black and white rendering with good tonal variations, well composed allowing a close up view!
