Thank you very much! Yes, my dogs love to go with me and my camera, the golden retriever loves to wade in water, he doesn?t swim very often, wading is his thing.

We have areas on the Mississippi River around here that don't freeze because of the power plants too. There are bunch of trumpeter swans that congregate in those area. Your part of the world looks lovely with the snow. The colors of the sky reflecting in the water look nice.

An excellent shot. I think the dogs add a lot to the composition although the scene is superb on its own. I like the colors and especially their reflection on the mist shrouded water.

Think Pat I would take a tad of the bottom in this,just so the focus is more on the mist,its a nice view,although its a pity the mist is not a bit stronger,still you can,t have everything,nice view though...Brian

The dogs seem to be having a great time in the warm water. Nice image that captures the multiple colors of the setting sun and reflections on the water. Just a hint of steam rising off the water adds to the overall feel of the shot. Well done.

I like the inclusion of your dogs but the one on the right is not so recognizable save for the tail.
Any other shot where they are more prominent & visible...
They can be great silhouette subjects...
Twilight's last gleaming.

Gorgeous illumination.
Letterbox framing.
Pin sharp focusing.
Good perspective & long depth of field...
