I love the sun's shine through the clouds. It's very beautiful. The water is very calm and peaceful. The whole view is wonderful.

The rays in this image are wonderful! And I really like how the edges of the cloud are lit up with the yellow of the sun. The reflection on the water is also beautiful. Such a glorious scene Steve.

Oh yes...this is surreal... as your compositions often are.. The golds in this were the initial impact for me... not only in the water but in the rays shooting up through the sky.. They made me search immediately for the source... which you have thankfully captured. Your bit of sun showing has satisfied my need for explanation of a scene. And it is just a bit of the sun....allowing the spread of it's rays to steal the show.. LOVE it! Always a pleasure to view your work... p.s. the blue grays in the sky are magnificent.. One wishes to be able to mix those nature colors with paints.... :D

Wow. Thank you so much ks for such a wonderful and artistic review. I love the way you take me through my own photos showing me things that I don't see the way you do. Makes me take a second look and think "ya, that's pretty cool". Thanks again Becky ~ Steve

Steve, we lived on the shore of this Lake for 3 years, in Ajijic. Did you take this shot from Chapala? When we were there everyone was concerned about it shrinking, however, it looks healthy in your shot.

You caught the sunset and the beauty of Mexico well in this presentation. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU....for resurrecting memories for me.

Hey Olga. We are here in Ajijic for a month and I shot this near where we are staying. I love the sunsets here but there are not too many places to get a good shot with a foreground. I walked a long way the other day looking for a foreground. Finally found an old wooden boat on the shore. Perfect! Went back at sunset and it was gone! Oh well. We are here for another two weeks then off to Puerto Vallarta for a month. Getting into this retired thing. Have a great weekend Olga ~ Steve

Don't forget to go to the "tiengas" in Ajijic they are really fun and photogenic. If you walk down Nicolas Bravo Street, the very last house on your right, facing the lake is where we lived for 3 years, in the casita. Sometimes on the shore the Huichol Indians sit and do weaving, you may get some good shots there. Don't forget to take in a Mariachi Concert at Degollado Teatro in Guadalajara....Jalisco state is renowned for Mariachi music. Have a wonderful time, I know you will.

It is indeed a spectacular sunset you have captured here, and I especially like how well the rays from the sun are standing out in the sky. You have also captured a lovely shine and reflections in the sea, and the lovely golden glow in the sky.

Your photo is also very sharp and it is such clear and well defined details to be seen all over. The exposure is spot on.

The photo is nicely cropped and the tree on the right work as a nice and natural framing. A truly beautiful and well taken photo Steve, and with an excellent DOF.

Caught at the perfect moment, Steve, to show off those wonderful rays of light emanating from behind the clouds. Nicely composed too with the fairly low horizon and the anchoring tree. Excellent exposure and clarity. Very well done.
