This is a nice capture of this scene and good storytelling and journalistic photography. A good perspective and point of view. The details are beautifully shown with good clarity. Good lighting handling and nice color in this image. I like your title and storytelling with this image old and new in Bangkok....nice work on this shot. Thanks for sharing!

Very interesting to be able to view old delapatated structures contrasted by the nice new ones in the same photo. It tells a story of many contrasts, it's well captured, clear and well focused, well composed to show these structures are built right on the water . Well presented!

A very nice shot that shows the meager houses of the poor people of Bankok. I like the colors and the sleek new high rises in the background that make the foreground hovels seem all the more abject.

I'm sure thier property value went up. The clarity is great. The angle of the shot if this older building being shadowed by the towers in background is great. The capture of the light is great. The image is balanced and eye interesting to the viewer. Good eye and great job overall

Lovely image contrasting the old and traditional against the modern world in the background. Nice detail and color. I could see making several more images from this that take a closer look at some of the details - the cage, the rust, etc. It could use more head room so that the peak of the building isn't clipped and you could possibly lose some of the water.

Fred,
What a contrast the buildings of the poor built with what ever building materials can be found discarded from other places & put together to provide some degree of shelter at the water's edge. Then behind them modern Bangkok springing up right beside them but at prices the poor can never rise to! Interesting composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

Not sure I would want to live there though,was you in a boat judging by the low vantage boat fred,just shows if there is a bit of space in some places a building will go up,bet its not got planning though...Brian
