Frozen pond near Seward

The sky is trying to mimic the color of the snow draped mountains;the subtle shading and blending of gray and white softly reflected by the ice. This image monochromatic except for trees and shore slicing thru this scene.

Different or not it's still a beautiful location! Love the contrast between the mountains and the reeds(?). Exposure and sharpness are good. Nicely done

Pat,
A wonderful picture of this breathtaking landscape of snow capped mountains then reflected on the frozen pond near Seaward along with the interesting cloud formations in the sky above. Beautiful composition framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

So like you share your photos of Alaska Pat,thats the advantage of being on here, while we may never get to visit some places,at least we can see them on here, like the 3 elements of mountains/land and water.
One word comes to mind in this MAJESTIC,thanks for sharing..Brian

And it's yet another strikingly pretty view of the place,Pat!
The sky has a somewhat more ominous Threatening look to it in this one that makes it a very interesting scene to observe!

Yes. It certainly is a frozen lake. Not how much of the ice is reflecting the clouds and how much is just the ice itself. Nice composition. Well framed. Thank you for sharing and best of luck with this image. It looks like the part of water closest to she shoreline is not frozen.
