This is so beautiful. It was worth the 20 min. wait. You have made this deer look so cute and elegant. The sharp focus captured his facial features in fine detail. Love the baby soft colors of the background as they harmonize well with the tones in the deer's ears and face. Nice work and good luck in the contest as it should fair well.

What a gorgeous capture of this deer. I can't say enough about how mesmerizing the eyes are. Beautiful closeup with perfect clarity and fantastic detail. Wish I had a six, this one deserves it.
Best wishes in the competition with this beautiful shot.

Linda, you did a great job with being patient and catching this deer's portrait.

If you have access to photoshop I would clone out that bright piece of grass that is coming right out of his head by his right ear, can you see how our eye goes there...it would be so easy to do.

I see you are new and will be wondering if this is legal because you already have him in a contest. YES YES YES it is legal to alter the photo but not legal to change it completely. Just go to the image, look in the upper L hand corner and you will see EDIT this...then upload the corrected version but don't forget to click SAVE otherwise the change will not appear.

I love the textural quality the eye catch, the ears, the sharpness...it is a grand photograph, worthy of a matte a frame a tiny artistic signature in the corner and to hang with pride.

I am a Canadian as well...living in Thailand, where are you writing from?

Wow living in Thailand. Must be beautiful. I appreciate all your feedback but I?m still new at photoshop and my Lightroom crashed and I?m having a hell of a time trying to get it fixed. So I can only do minor changes in photoshop. I tried the cloning and it keeps cloning the deer. :( I reall6 need practice at that. Is there another way to darken the green?
reply by the author on 02-Mar-2018
Actually I just did a desaturated on the green. Can you let me know what you think

Hi there, yes, it looks fine the desat. It is a good photograph.

Thank you so much. 8 am going to try to learn the cloning. I can do a little but when it comes to big areas. Not so good.
reply by Life is but a dream. on 02-Mar-2018
When you do cloning, work VERY VERY VERY LARGE, use a soft brush. Large areas are difficult to clone out but that little pop over this deer's head would not be so difficult. Have fun Linda.

A beautiful image that is perfectly cropped. The catchlights in the eyes are very nice and the colors could not be more attractive. Best of luck in the contest where it should be a strong contender.

This is a beautiful capture of the gorgeous deer and well worth your wait. I love the softened background you have which makes this look like a lovely painting. Excellent lighting and focus showing a nice crisp image. Those shiny eyes are mesmerising. Great composition. Good luck in the contest. Suzanne
