Oh come on now, you know I like this one a lot. If you remember I wanted this on for my own collection. I feel like you are teasing my. Dangling a piece of cheese in front of the mouse. Nice show as always old chap. I have a drawing I started a while back of a stick figure pushing a bolder up a page of mountains. Bravo again. John

Nice composition of taking advantage of the situation!
Good focus and clarity.
And the aerial view is very creative.
I like the use of the fun colors throughout the picture. And, the details of the figure are great especially with her mouth open in joy!
The water swirling about adds energy.
Nice work!

A very good looking image posted here into the competition! Your fine, full and almost central composition offers us an enjoyable image of your floating young girl. She looks very happy on that sunny lifebelt. The colours used are cheerful, almost making me want to get into that water! Nicely drawn!

Oh, I love your Outstanding enjoyable to view artwork that perfectly defines Summertime style in the pool. The child in the rainbow colored floating tube that matches her rainbow colored bathing suit looks up at the viewer with a delightful smile, along with her very cool looking sunglasses. Your water representation is artistic perfection.

I continue to be amazed at your skill with the sharpies, and with all the detail you put into each work of art. The water, her tanned skin, the colored tube, the shiny reflection - so much detail and work! Excellent work, as always!

you know David what amazes me is i have been working with sharpie and bic pens for a half century now..its wild saying that..half century..wow who'd thunk it right? i was already working with office pens and i think it was 65 or 66 when i started using the bic ball point. the company use to advertise that everyone at NASA uses the ball point. sharpie was rich in colors then but limited. the only colors they offered was red, blue, green and black. thats it. think of it...thats normal accounting colors..wink. anyway in 79 i did a poster of the 70's rock band Kiss "Destroyer" album. it was 36 X 36" and 1/2" depth posterboard. since sharpie and bic was limited on their color choices then, so i brought in other pen brands. papermates flair, office highlighters...the whole drawing was done with office material..i gave it to my nephew back n 79. in 2015 i was passing thru and stop by to visit him..there framed on the wall in the game room is the poster looking just like the day i gave it to him. no fading or anything..wow! let me have someone make a comment that ink cant survive other the years..lol..i have been after him to take a picture of it and send it to me. i pass thru there again i will..wink. sharpie and bic didnt expand their colors till the middle late 90's. i was in walmart with my future x wife shopping. when i came upon the 24 and 36 pack of both brands i hollered like a kid... the x came over to see what i was hollering about...dont worry she did her rolling eyes cause i was excited over a pack of new pens..you see i kept the pens and got rid of the wife..evil grin.. the rest i had to tweek here and there with the new colors.. this medium is harsh where you cant make a mistake..and the scanner can pick everything..i mean everything up..so over the years i learned how not to screw up and map what im gonna do..trust me thru repetition the thought process goes quicker than what folks think i do..wink..thanks for the great review. ..hey did you every check out any of my music videos on youtube?.

Wow - what a great story. Either you started very young or you're a few years older than me (65). Yes, I have watched several of the videos on you-tube, but they all seem to be 1-2 years old. Where are your latest ones?

Started young..we are close to same age. I took a lil time off from the videos but I'm back at with more ideas to make..wink

Did you use one of the grand kids as model?
This is an excellent drawing from an unusual angle. You did it masterly. The perspective and proportions are exact. The drawing is well and framed. I like the vivid colors of summer especially.

What a colorful and well drawn and painted artwork. I love the expression on the girls face. It's like she is totally enjoying it. Water movement is done well. This really captures water fun. Good luck with the contest. Beautiful.

No paint just sharpie and BIC ink. Thanks for the well wishes but contest has come and gone. Didn't place anything but I'm not surprised. If the topic can be related to cartoons then I have a chance.
Wink. Thanks for the great review.
