The Robins will still be awhile before returning to my place Susan so it's a pleasure to see your puffed up little guy here.

I can see the snow flakes around him and love the sweet little twinkle in his eye. Colors are good....natural and image is well exposed w/ nice focus. Sounds like a lot of work reading your methods section to get him into this little globe....lol Nicely done though.

    Deborah,
Thanks a million for your complementary review on this Robin with snow flakes falling around it.
Probably the only time this little Robin will see snow in it's life time! The last time we had snow of ant depth was in 2010.
Thankfully though two foot deep in my garden it's now all gone & the Daffodil are beginning to open.
When I started to use the "Globe Treatment" it took time to do it now it does not & I know which picturs it will work with.

Oh you have Daffodils opening....you very VERY lucky lady. We are getting slammed w/ snow tonight and tomorrow....another 15-18" on top of what is already there....sigh At least it melts quickly in March and April...well, usually that is...lol Very welcome btw for the review. Robins won't come back here until the snow is just about gone so guess they won't see much more snow than your guys do.

    Deborah,
The difference apart from the fact Our Robins & yours are completely different is ours stay around ALL year & do not migrate. I believe there have been attempts to introduce Our European Robin to New York State but sadly it failed.

Yours don't have to migrate Susan, right?? Most of the birds around here do.....way too cold for a number of months. Another month or 6 weeks and they'll start returning. Can't wait!

:):) Another interesting presentation. Creative! Innovative approach. You have framed it well. The light and shadows, colours and the composition have worked out well. Good effort!

A perfect and wonderful shot of the Robin with nice effects of the snow. Superb eye clarity drawing the eye into your photography. Good use of light and sharp focus rendering excellent details of the feathers and marking on this gorgeous creature. A creative and unique creation of your globe treatment compliments your overall photography. This is very nice work and thanks for sharing.

Yes, he/she seems to have ice or snow in many places of the body. I think some birds like waterfowl have a lot of fat, so they would stay warm. Birds must have some way or they would all die. Nice composition. Sharp image. Well framed. Thank you fir sharing

    Pamela,
Thanks a million for your complementary review on this little puffed up Robin with snow flakes falling around it & landing on it's beak. It's been cold by Irish standards but nothing compared to certain parts of the United States of America. Our climate is just a little cooler than that you have in Northern California & sometimes it's warmer..One year I left here in the first week of May in warm weather & on arriving in Berkley found it much colder..

Your post processing created a very cool effect! The robin looks like he's inside a glass ornament! I like the pose and the colors too.
