I think this is a beautiful portrait Linda, and as always done in a very professional way. Ava's face is so expressive and especially the eyes are well done. I also like the way you have added light and shadow.

The composition is perfect with a good framing and the placement of Ava on the paper. Indeed a beautiful and well done drawing, and I wish you luck with the contest.

I was going to review this earlier, but I had to wait until I had six stars to give. This is a lovely rendering of a lovely lady. I like that it even has an old timey look to it. I have a hard time with making my blacks dark enough and I think you have the same issue. That's my only criticism, but a minor one I think, because it works with the sort of aged look of the portrait. Overall truly one of my favorites. Well done Linda!

Another wonderful piece. So much effort and attention to detail. It looks so much like an old photo. I wonder what size you have drawn this would love to know when reviewing as I think it gives us a little more perspective.

Beautiful portrait of Ava, Linda, done with your usual skill with the pencil. You've portrayed her beauty so well with perfect shading and light. I like how you show the different textures of hair, skin and clothing set against the smudged background. Love the expression on her face. Excellent drawing and good luck in the contest. Suzanne

Right in the middle of drawing this, I was so ready to destroy it. I was afraid. What if I couldn't bring out her image? It was the eyes. But something kept me plowing on. I pray that I did her justice. Thank you for the 6 star rating. This is always such an honor. It makes our efforts redeemable. Your review is so uplifting.

Superb portrait of her and love everything the way you drew her fine features. Shading and blending is marvelous that it so brings her to life. Enjoy how you drew her beautiful lips and dimpled chin and so many beautiful things about her. Love the arora you drew about her as she drew that in film. Thank You for sharing.

Wow! Those eyes and that look.....a gorgeous portrait of the young Ava Gardner. I like this portrait of the young actress. The facial features and expression, details, along with blending and shading with graphite pencil is incredible. Your contrast between light and shadows beautifully done. Very nice facial proportions. You have captured the essence of Ava. A creative and talented art work. Thanks for sharing these exquisite pieces.
