I think this is a beautiful portrait Linda, and as always done in a very professional way. Ava's face is so expressive and especially the eyes are well done. I also like the way you have added light and shadow.
The composition is perfect with a good framing and the placement of Ava on the paper. Indeed a beautiful and well done drawing, and I wish you luck with the contest.

I was going to review this earlier, but I had to wait until I had six stars to give. This is a lovely rendering of a lovely lady. I like that it even has an old timey look to it. I have a hard time with making my blacks dark enough and I think you have the same issue. That's my only criticism, but a minor one I think, because it works with the sort of aged look of the portrait. Overall truly one of my favorites. Well done Linda!

Right in the middle of drawing this, I was so ready to destroy it. I was afraid. What if I couldn't bring out her image? It was the eyes. But something kept me plowing on. I pray that I did her justice. Thank you for the 6 star rating. This is always such an honor. It makes our efforts redeemable. Your review is so uplifting.
