I don't think I have heard this myth before but it provides an interesting story. You did an excellent job with the details. That yellow dress or top really makes her bright red hair stand out. You did a wonderful job with this drawing and I thank you for sharing this with us :)

Dear Raoul,
How I envy your ability to create from you thoughts, your imagination. This picture is so amazingly real. The expression upon her face. As you explained, her pursing lips. Wow, if I could create out of my imagination. Which i cannot. Her perportions are so perfect. All in all, perfection.

excellently drawn and very expressive. Green always looks good on a redhead. Thank you for incorporating your notes telling us the story of your character. They should have listened to her. Well proportioned , balanced, and nice shadows. Beautiful

This is fantastic! I love it! Amazing portrayal of this beautiful woman, frustrated because she wasn't believed, you bring her to life , her eyes are amazing , the detail, light and shading her red hair, her dress are all so well applied, this is a display of your obvious talent, it tells a story and I really appreciate the opportunity to view your work!

Off the top of my head, I forget why, but know the mythology that Casandra was cursed by the gods with the blessing of seeing the future accurately that no one would believe. This drawing shows the anguish of her predicament with her determination to keep trying. Good proportions throughout the form. But the expression on the face is priceless. Reasons for my five star vote.

I love this one, Raoul. It might be my favorite of yours to date. I love the expression on the girl's face. And the way she is holding her hair out is a great pose. Love your signature colors. This is a well drawn artwork with nice shading and proportions. Great expressive artwork.

Fantastic art! Love her deep intense eyes! Its all about the eyes, the windows to the soul. The twisted hair is a great way to express her frustration and her pursed lips are created perfectly!
I can "feel" the emotion.
Wonderful artistry!!

Well drawn girl with a pensive look. Great detail on her smock but what i feel you did really nicely was her hair. A little stringy but it gives this piece a very natural feel. Well done friend!

Her lips are sealed.....sometimes!
But why didn't they believe her!

Excellent choice of subject.
Exquisite portraiture.
Impeccable presentation.
The trademark antiquated colors.
The signature enigmatic aura!

Muted colors.
Subtle illumination.
Crisp & clear outlines.
Meticulous attention even to the minutest details!

Thanks for sharing...

I think this is overall a well done portrait that does not need the attached story line, nor does it support the story line. I think this young lady is well portrayed ( I want to smack her hand for playing with her hair.) The anatomy of the drawing is well done, her stare has a level of mystery and concern that is further drawn out in her mouth position. The hair is well drawn. The line and shading bring out her shape and form. Colors work well. I would like more head room above her so that she isn't so compressed into the frame. Well executed.
