This is a great rendition of a child in graphite.
Reminds me of pics my mom used to take of me with that hair.

This is a lovely drawing of this sleeping baby that looks like he could be waking up. The detail is great and the features are very good. Love the full head of hair! Wonderful job for a first attempt. Best of luck in the contest.

Is this technically sound? No. Mostly the body of the baby, the arms mainly, could use some fine-tuning on the anatomy. But it's a great job and you sketch the hands and face very very well here.
Don't be afraid to add a little more shading (less outline) to the baby's outfit and blanket - especially to separate them from each other. As demonstrated in this sketch, your audience may feel they are of the same fabric - really try to replicate those intricate fabric patterns next time. Take your time - don't rush!

Wow, your great at this, so so more your good. This is so sweet. Love the hands up to the face, as if flinching to sound, movement and waking. I do not know, but any of that fits the look on that sweet face. Perfect. Well done. Thanks for sharing.
