It is amazing how good the cameras are on phones these days. This is a great shot that contrasts the living and the dead. Great color contrast. Very well focused. Good luck.

I am curious to know where these skulls come from. This one looks oddly interesting with those flowers. You really captured some incredible detail of both the skull and the flowers.

It is as though nature honored his passing with the bed of flowers. The flowers remove the gruesomeness of the scene and give it a poignant feel. Nicely composed.

Seeing your information and photo I immediately wondered how could you be so definite about identifying the animal from its skull? Your fine composition grants us a good look at it. Exposure and sharpness are fine. Nicely done!

Thanks so much for your review! If you look closely, you will notice the two little projections (one partial) that are "buttons" or developing antlers on top of this fawns skull. It is just a smaller version of an adult deer skull ! :)

Oh I really like this piece! The purple periwinkles and deep green leaves give a wonderful juxtaposition to the skull resting in the middle of this lovely color. Excellent framing and composition. Very nice! Wishing you the best in the contest!

Excellent picture! I love the stark contrast between the skull and the dark foliage with the bright pop of purple from the flowers. Lighting is good as is the framing. Good luck in your contest!

Very good entry for the contest. Amazing that you can produce something beautiful out of the sad picture of a skull - the pretty blue flowers really make this. Very good lighting and focus showing great clarity. Good luck in the contest. Suzanne

The skull is in such huge contrast to its purple flower surroundings! I like the diagonal placement of the skull in the frame. Well focused, clear image, adequate lighting, it does stand out from the purple flowers and greenery . Well presented, interesting title too!

An eye catching shot. The quality of the photos coming from the newer phones never ceases to amaze me. Great colors and very fine detail should make this a favorite in the contest.

Cool. What a great shot using an LG phone. The photo lenses are so good now days. You have taken it a step further in the composition and clarity of this scene. The whites of the skull are just right and not over blown. Nice work and best of fortune in the contest ~ Steve
