This is a stunning shot of the Early PAPAVER orientalis ....just starting to open. So enjoyed reading your artists notes I think you low perspective is aiding in your composition. Nicely framed and well composed shot. Your lighting is good .....love the soft diffused lighting accentuating your subject so beautifully. A lovely blur and bokeh. Spot on sharp focus on the bud with incredible good details capturing those intricate fibers and colors. Outstanding work and thanks for sharing! Thanks for sharing! I love this one!

This is beautiful...in its Watermelon colors...That's what it made me think of.
Your sharp detail on the opening bud is amazing. And your filtered light has displayed those tiny filaments so clearly without burring them out. The bud in the distance is your audience it seems. Deborah this is a unique and beautiful photograph of this lovely poppy. I love all the excellent detail you have captured in the bloom on the left and the sheer softness of the bloom on the right. The two together compliment each other so much and give an extraordinary view in this shot.
I just think the petals coming forth look so cool in this flower.
You can imagine it unfolding into its full form. Wish I had a six to give this, it's an outstanding bloom with a vibrant green that really is eyecatching. The clarity and detail are magnificent.

Wonderful photo and great information about this beautiful flower. We don't often get a chance to see a flower in this stage of blossoming. I always enjoyed seeing plants as they are just pushing through the soil. Great color and detail. I like the two very different textures. Fantastic job.
