These are great sky colors. I like the patterns you created with the straw. It gives the piece a windy feeling that fits wonderfully with the sky theme.

OOH! I love this! It looks like the sky has been liquefied, like the atmosphere of an alien planet. A perfect range of colors from lavender to deep, dark blue. It's all just so perfect - the colors, the shapes, the way it all blends together so well. I almost expect to see it move, it looks so fluid. I don't see how something like this could ever be done with a brush - your straw technique is genius! Nice work Suzanne! (it also doesn't hurt that blue is my favorite color).

    Many thanks again, David, for your great review and rating. I'm so pleased you like this. You should have a go with the straws - it's great fun. I'm experimenting with other techniques at the moment - different glues work with the paint to create patterns. I only use the cheapest paint for these experiments - I share these on my family Whatsapp group and my youngest son usually puts comments on like, "Been spilling your paints again Ma?!" Suzanne

Great palette and would mix well in any oceanic seascape with an additional foam spray and surfer to go...meanwhile..sky it is and sky it remains and rightly so

Another visually soothing creation with cool color bluish overtone rendition.

Nice depth with all those sunken areas.
Looks like snow at dawn with some deep animal foot marks.

Enigmatic feel.
Subtle illumination.
Filled up framing.

Thanks for sharing...

Suzanne, you have really mastered this process. You create such lovely texture and depth. Every one of your paintings in this style have turned out well. You should create a book and go for the diamond seal.

    Many thanks, Linda, for your lovely review. I have got one Diamond seal but it was such a lengthy process that I'm not keen to go through that process again! Suzanne

Normally abstract is not my thing but I really like the colors you have blended here. It makes me think of winter, which is my favorite season. I actually can picture a sky when I am looking at this and it has a very relaxing feel. Thanks for sharing this with us. :)

Another blue mystery, I like it. There is so much to imagine in those abstract shades of blue. A love all those shades. There are at least seven of them, accentuated with black and white. Where the parts are getting darker, the painting gets more perspective, more depth. It is really challenging my emotions, just a the abstract of water.;
