The foggy cloud cover makes for a pretty awesome view in the background. I like the contrast between the darkness and the golden light covered foreground landscape.

here is another image that tells me we need to move to Alaska, like the composition of the grass leading us to the trees and the mountains and the clouds, really love the notes to tell us where this is. a pleasure to look at. thank you for sharing. dale

Good artist notes and storytelling with your image. So much beauty in your landscape....it's almost as if the mountains are talking to you. Nice rich warm colors of fall against the cooler colors of the sky and clouds on the mountain tops. A gorgeous scene with good composition and nice movement in your scene. This is very nice work and thanks for sharing.

Read your text, of course. I can almost smell the chill in the air looking at this one. Not sure you planned it to make this picture almost half cool whites, greys and blues hovering over the greens and browns of the land based on your description but it really is this quality that brings out the sense of "being there". Reasons for my five star vote.

You are welcome. I was about 80 percent sure you took the half and half look idea to make this photo.

Hi Pat!
Here's another scene which has that 'Far Northern Classic' kind of a look that I've been going on about!
: )
It's colorful,interesting,and ( of course! ) a very 'Good Show'!

This is a stunning view of the clouds cascading slowly over the mountain tops. I can tell the shadow of the clouds on the ground. I can see why you would stop here a lot. Picnics and camera in hand.

A very nice shot that clearly demonstrates how air is a fluid. I like the foreground and the way the clouds envelop the mountaintop.
The colors are great and the composition could not be better.

The frequent low lying clouds is the one thing I really enjoyed seeing in Alaska. The fall colors in this piece are very appealing and the clouds with the mountain peak just piercing them is super.
