Something very different from you, but equally stunning. This photo - like the highway - seems to go on for ever. Beautiful fall colours, great lighting, great composition. I adore it.

Thank you so much Sandra, this is one of my favorite places to drive, further down the road is a gorgeous waterfall! I really appreciate your wonderful support!

A well balanced picture with color, depth, and the lighting I like the highway showing infinity as it seems to be never ending it reminds me of my traveling days!

What a wonderful photo. I agree, I love how the road disappears. It's really a great example of a one point perspective. Thanks for sharing.

Such a nice perspective here Pat. The diminishing road into the background gives a sense of the expanse of this beautiful landscape. Th border of the trees on the left and right make this a truly scenic highway. Nice one Pat ~Steve

Excellent POV showing a superb vanishing perspective. I would have cropped the top more right up to the tree tips.
This is about the road leading us in and way down yonder to who knows where. Great focus, POV, exposure and fine use of Natural light. Superb leading lines of the trees, painted lines and the road.
NICE!!

Oh yes, I remember this one. It had about the same kind of cloudy sky and sun spotted ground. Of course, what cannot be seen is the immense expanses on both sides. It really makes you feel small. And, as I remember, it was not as smooth as it looks. Kind of ripplely here and there. Thanks for the memory with this beautiful photograph. Reasons for my five star vote.

Thank you so very much! You are right! These highways are full of frost heaves, not smooth at all !

Never thought about frost heaves. Thanks for the info. And you are welcome.

Since I grow up in a small country crowded with people, those straight roads of Northern America have always amazed me as wide landscapes with lots of nature in it. I find the view you captured fascinating. The road and the leading lines on it take our eyes into the impressive depth of the photo. That it occupies the center balances the photo perfect. The road is a man-made contradiction, but nevertheless seems to integrate into the landscape.

A great composition, like how the road is off center and our eyes follow the road till it disappears into the trees, and the mountains in the background to finish the landscape shot, a pleasure to look at, thank you for sharing, dale

Good composition and presentation with the heavy foreground moving down to the lighter background.
Very good angle of view with the road dropping out of sight down hill and reemerging as it climbs up hill.
Good sharp focus.
Good depth of field.
Nice details and textures.
Good symmetry. Nice colors.
