There are so many photos of birds, flowers, and butterflies that I rarely review them. But this is just so beautiful and perfect that I just have to give it 6 stars and tell you how good it is. I'm sure it will do well in the contest.

What a beautiful shot. Wow such beautiful colors. I don't know why males have the lovely colors. I think goldfinch is the state bird in my state. But they don't look like this guy. I'm in north west Washington. Your fine focusing shows his sharp detail and the exposure is perfect. His colors just pop. I'm thinking this is the bird that hangs upside to ear? Maybe that's a chickadee?

Thank you so much! Most all will hang upside down to get food!

we have an Urban Metro Farm, with Russian Mammoths, especially, raised for these finches and, too, other birds,so,we are accustomed to this lovely photograph of the finch, with his Sunflower seed. Good Luck in the Contest!

I like the shallow depth of field as it shows the bird off nicely. The focus is very clear you can see all the feathers. Even the little toenails are clear. And you have a nice catch light in the eye. Very nicely done

a wonderful wildlife image of this lovely goldfinch, pin sharp focus and clarity captures all the detail on the bird, lovely catchlight in the eye, deep saturated but natural colours, the bird stands out clear and well defined from the muted natural back ground. well balanced and positioned in the frame. a pleasure to view. this is a winner to me/
good luck in the contest.

Its a cute pose. I like the seed in its beak. The details of body and feathers are well defined and the colors look nicely natural. Definitely this bird is mostly yellow and therefore a good entry for the contest. The neutral green background emphasizes the bird well.

A very nice entry into the competition posted here! You certainly have got lots of lovely yellow here!! Your fine full and almost central composition offers us a great look at your finch and its location. Exposure and sharpness are good. Well done and good luck!

A beautiful goldfinch and a very sharp shot. The detail in the feathers and the catchlight in the eye are fantastic. I would prefer if he didn't have the sunflower seed in his bill. Best of luck in the contest.
