You have really captured the incredible blue of this indigo,very striking against the verdant green background,focus is exceptionally sharp,I see wonderful detailing,not only in the feathers,but also around that bright sharp eye with it's catchlight. A spectacular contest entry,wish you all the best!

What a beautiful looking bird, the colour is amazing, would have liked to have seen more of the bird but I know how difficult they are to capture. Great focus and light. Good luck.

Great picture to submit into the contest. I like the close up shot of the Indigo bird. The bird looks pretty occupied with staring at something or someone. I like the attention on the focus on the bird. Great shot.

Gorgeous bird! Love the royal blue coloring against the green background.
I see Painted Buntings at my Wetlands, but never Royal.
Focus is razor sharp, white balance controlled with Superb DOF.

You got excellent focus on this little guy. You can count every feather and need to wipe every little chrome from its beak. Your composition is nice, but I'd like to see its whole body because I don't know what it looks like. The color is really a vivid blue. Is that it naturally? Or did you bump up saturation a little bit? You even got good catch light in it eye. Very nice photo. Good luck in the contest
