I've no idea what this little flower is
A nice shot very well composed and much more interesting than the usual flower shots. I do think it's just a little underexposed though on the tops of the petals for my taste. Maybe a sheet of paper or something white to reflect some light those petals

I am afraid I don't recognize this flower either Willie, but it is truly lovely. I especially like how lovely the light is falling on it, and that you have gone in so Close. The flower is also standing out from the dark background in an excellent way.
Your Focus was spot on and Sharp and it is Clear and well defined details to be seen both in the petals and the stamens. The exposure is just Perfect.
The tight cropping Works so well and the flower has got a very good placement off to the left. Indeed a lovely and well taken flower photo With an excellent DOF, and I wish you Luck With the contest.
