I like the angle you chose and how it shows off the layers of petals and leads the eyes directly towards the center of the flower. The colors and dof are very attractive.

Very gorgeous photo of the rose, showing the vivid colors. The green background reinforces those vivid colors, bringing them out, and the textures come alive as well, seeing all the nuances of the rose that we normally don't appreciate. The overcast weather also helps to see the true colors, without too much contrast to hinder us from beholding all the color and textures of the rose and the leaves.

Super shot here of your hometown rose. The focus and exposure have created a close view of velvet texture on the leaves. The colour is vibrant but subtle . Good positioning and capture of keaves atthat angle. Good entry firvthe comp. Good luck.
