This is a fabulous photograph, how did you get these hippos to pose?? Your composition is good and having the large hippo in focus draws you in to the photograph. Wonderful job!!

I really love this picture. It is so good looking with the hippos. Sometimes scanners can dis color the images but this picture actually looks all set on color so you did a good job on that. I like how the main focus point is what is mostly focused, that way the background doesn't take away from your image, good work.

Excellent.. what a picture.. I am not in photography only in painting - but did it ever make me stop when I saw it.... excellent subject for a painting.

maclarens, while this shot had great potential, which you were wise to see, the photograph is seriously over exposed, resulting in the loss of detail on the faces of these magnificent animals, especially the one up front, and a very bland background. Thanks for including the information on equipment and film. I always like to see that, and will now start including it myself. Hope you're not upset with me about the review. Peace, Papa.
