This is amazing, such extrodanary detail, the lines are perfect and shows the reptile wonderfully. Beautifully mastered :)

I am not a very big fan of pencils but this is an awesome picture. I love the details . I actually thought it was a greyed out photo at first sight. Very nice work BFK! You are very talented!

Holy cow. I had to keep going back to look at it to make sure it wasn't a photograph that had been edited. Fabulous work. So detailed. The wrinkles and the tones of the animal just come off the page. GREAT JOB.

Interesting technique and subject. If the body was as dark as the tail it would be more realistic. Composition and framing is good, but a little more space over and front of the head would improve the frame.

Thanks for your review. He's molting; that's why the body is lighter, but I understand what you're saying. There is room in front of the head, but I had to crop out the matte from the photo. The photo was a tad crooked, so it ended up cutting it pretty close. The original has room though. Thanks again.

Fantastic work here:0 This looks like a butterfly drew it, soo light and shaded so spectacularly. Fine clarity and proportion, and excellent grasp of light play. Thanks for sharing

great study and a fine drawing this is very nice indeed and detailed. He looks very intense as they all do, that was very well captured and rendered.
keep up the good work, and wish the best for an artist and flowing future with your work.
great job

You did a great job on this wonderful drawing. The detail of the skin and the different shading is great. I like the way the shadows look like he can just walk right off the page.. GREATJOB!!! :)

Thanks! It's amazing what shadows can do for a drawing.

Extremely well worked, loads of detail, and looks ready to catch the moth that's currently attracted to my computer screen! Great use of shadow, and I like the contrast in texture between the tail and the rest of the body.
The only way to improve this would be to show the full 14"x17" picture life size.

Hehe. Yeah, I need to retake pictures of many of my drawings (the FULL size, instead of while they're matted). It sure would clarify a lot. Thanks for the suggestion.
